These tournaments only exist since 2006 but have maintained the tradition since then. Golf and auto racing are not sports that normally take place during Thanksgiving, but some games do take place during this time.

In New York they have what is called a “turkey trot race” which doesn’t get much publicity, but it has become an important sport for the park and its residents. It takes place every year around 9 am. The race starts at five mile, but for those who still feel the need to run afterwards, they can join the ten mile race if they wish, giving them a chance to work on that good old turkey before to demolish it.

Many activities and sports take place on our feast day which we like to call thanksgiving. Some sports are national sports while others are just active ways to have fun and have fun with family and friends on such a great vacation.
